Clothing and Fashion Volunteers

Oxfam’s network of over 650 shops is run by 23,000 volunteers and shop managers. Through the sale of donated goods and new products the shops contribute millions of pounds each year to help fund Oxfam’s crucial work.

    Do you just love clothes, accessories and all things fashion? Do you know your designer labels from your high street brands? Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for sustainable fashion? Then we’d love to hear from you!

     

    What the role involves...

    • Sorting and pricing of donated clothing and accessories
    • Steaming clothing and making them look great ready for sale
    • Refreshing stock on shop floor and visual merchandising

    This role is flexible,  ideally you will be able to volunteer 4 hours per week as a minimum. The store is situated at Foldhead Mills, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield WF14 8BE.

Covid-Safe Volunteering

If you are volunteering in lockdown, please make sure that you are staying safe and are up-to-date with the current rules and guidance.

From 29th March, you should continue to volunteer from home where possible unless you cannot reasonably do so. You can leave home to volunteer if you are not required to isolate for any reason. Please make sure that you are following the guidelines to stay safe.

From 12th April, we move to Step 2 of the Government's lockdown easing roadmap.  This is when charity shops, libraries, and community centres can reopen, and cafes can serve people outside, which will mean that more people will be volunteering outside their homes and we may start to get more new volunteering opportunities.
